India blocks the Pakistani Government's official Twitter Account


NEW DELHI: Bharat blocked the govt. of Pakistan's official Twitter account, Indian media reported on Saturday.

 

Claim relating to the blockage was created by Indian media that conjointly shared a screenshot of the account that gave the impression it was related to Pakistan's government.

 

As per Indian media agency Asian News International's (ANI) website, this wasn't 1st time that Bharat blocked the govt. of Pakistan's Twitter account in its territories. The Modi-led administration has earlier conjointly taken such action; but, the account was rebuilt later.

 

Pakistani officers haven't nonetheless reacted to the news of the blockage.

Following this action, Pakistan's Ministry for Foreign Affairs issued a condemnation, deeming the act "deeply concerning".

 

"Deeply regarding that #India has blocked the flow of data to Indian Twitter by withholding access to the subsequent official accounts," the ministry aforementioned.

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) conjointly took up the matter with Twitter once the ban was obligatory.

 

The telecommunication regulator, in a statement, aforementioned that Twitter has been urged to rethink its biased suppression of data and restore official Pakistani accounts for viewing in Bharat.
